In an attempt to prevent environmental pollution that may result from solid and liquid wastes generated from various departments of Sopan Pharmaceuticals Ltd., the company has installed Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) for managing industrial effluents. The solid and liquid wastes and chemicals, after being collected in the underground tank through drainage system are subjected through ozonation as well as dosed with various flocculants and pH adjusting chemicals prior to their collection in the Equalization Tank. The effluents then undergo Aeration for the process of digestion by bacteria. Finally the resultant water, (passed through series of filters), is only allowed to be discharged into external environment after it complies the predetermined requirements for treated effluent.
Furthermore, excessive dusts and volatile materials that are likely to be generated from Tablet Coating Section during their operation are managed through the use of Wet Scrubber in which such dusts and materials are allowed to disperse in the aqueous medium and then these wet-mixed materials are sent to ETP for their disposal.
Purified Water Generation and Distribution System of Sopan Pharmaceuticals Ltd. having capacity of 1500 Litre per hour is a state-of-the-art system incorporating double pass Reverse Osmosis (RO) along with Electro-Deionization (EDI) for the generation of Purified Water in accordance with the predetermined specifications. For the treatment process, Sopan Pharmaceuticals utilizes Multigrade filters, Chemical Sanitary Reverse Osmosis (CSRO) system, Heat Sanitary Reverse Osmosis (HSRO) system, Heat Sanitary Electro-Deionization (HSEDI) system, UV sterilizer and tube fittings as per cGMP requirements.
