It is known that nearly each fat and water soluble vitamins form part of a co-enzyme essential for the metabolism of protein, carbohydrate or fatty acid. .
Indications:
Indicated as a nutritional supplement to address multi-vitamin deficiencies, support overall health, and promote proper functioning of various bodily processes. It is used as a therapeutic nutritional adjunct in the following conditions: where the intake of vitamins is suboptimal, e.g. in the presence of organic disease such as malignancy and immune deficiency syndromes, such as AIDS. where the absorption of vitamins is suboptimal, e.g. malabsorption, inflammatory bowel disease and fistulae, short bowel syndrome and Crohn's disease, and where concurrent medication decreases vitamin and mineral absorption. in convalescence (recovery period) from illness, e.g. where anorexia (eating disorder) or cachexia (condition leading to weight loss and muscle wastage) exists and following chemo- or radio-therapy. in convalescence (recovery period) from surgery, e.g. where nutritional intake continues to be inadequate. for patients on special or restricted diets, e.g. in renal diets and where several food groups are restricted in therapeutic weight reducing diets. in synthetic diets, e.g. in phenylketonuria, galactosaemia and ketogenic diets.
Dosage:
The usual dose is one capsule orally once daily or as directed by registered healthcare professional.
