Composition: Paracetamol 500mg and Chlorzoxazone 250mg

Mechanism of Action: The combination of Paracetamol 500 mg and Chlorzoxazone 250 mg works synergistically to relieve pain and muscle spasms. Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation, primarily within the central nervous system. Chlorzoxazone, a muscle relaxant, acts on the brain and spinal cord centers, inhibiting multisynaptic reflex arcs involved in muscle spasms, thereby reducing skeletal muscle spasms and associated pain. Together, they provide relief from musculoskeletal pain and stiffness.

Indications:

✔ Muscle Pain & Spasms – Effective in relieving muscle stiffness, spasms, and discomfort.

✔ Lower Back Pain – Helps reduce pain and inflammation in cases of back strain.

✔ Neck Pain & Cervical Spondylosis– Provides relief from neck stiffness and associated pain.

✔ Sprains & Strains – Useful for sports injuries or physical overexertion.

✔ Post-Surgical Pain – Helps manage muscle pain after surgeries or injuries.

✔ Arthritis & Joint Pain – Can be used to ease pain in conditions like osteoarthritis.

Dosage:

1. Adults:

1 tablet 2 to 3 times daily (or as prescribed by a doctor).

Should be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation.

2. Children:

Not commonly recommended for children. Dosage should be determined by a doctor if necessary.

3.Maximum Dose:

Do not exceed 4g of Paracetamol per day (i.e., 8 tablets max if each contains 500mg Paracetamol).

Overuse can lead to liver toxicity.
