Mechanism of Action: Clindamycin, a lincosamide antibiotic, inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible microorganisms. This action interferes with the translocation step of protein synthesis, leading to the suppression of bacterial growth and reproduction.

Indications:

Clindamycin is indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by anaerobic bacteria, including intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections. As needed, clindamycin should be administered in conjunction with another antibacterial agent that is active against gram negative aerobic bacteria for the treatment of Tonsillitis and Dental infection.

Dosage:

Adults: The usual dose is one capsule of Clincare 300 every six hours. A healthcare professional should determine the appropriate dosage for each patient. It is crucial to follow the prescribed dosage and administration instructions provided by the healthcare provider.
