Composition: Bromhexine 8 mg + Terbutaline 2.5 mg

Mechanism of Action: Terbutaline + Bromhexine is a combination of two medicines: Terbutaline and Bromhexine, which relieves cough. Terbutaline sulphate belongs to the class of bronchodilators that relax muscles and widen the airways, thereby making breathing easier. Bromhexine belongs to the class of mucolytic agents (cough/sputum thinner) that works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe and nose, making it easier to cough out easily.

Indications:

Bromhexine Hydrochloride 8 mg and Terbutaline Sulphate 2.5 mg are used together to treat respiratory conditions like asthma, COPD, and bronchitis. Bromhexine helps thin mucus, while Terbutaline relaxes airway muscles, easing breathing and relieving symptoms such as cough, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

Dosage:

Adults:

1 tablet (Bromhexine 8 mg + Terbutaline 2.5 mg) 2 to 3 times a day.

Children: 

6 to 12 years: Half to 1 tablet (Bromhexine 8 mg + Terbutaline 2.5 mg) 2 to 3 times a day.

Under 6 years: The combination is usually not recommended unless prescribed by a doctor, as the dosage may need adjustment.
